Coffee Date #2

coffee

Coffee time!

Guess what? We finally made it out! Poor little dude did not enjoy the ride. We went out again yesterday and he cried 10 minutes in oppose to the 20 minutes before. We had to turn back. To be honest, the seat does not look comfortable; it’s not rigid. Next time I am going to try placing a rolled up wash cloth on his lower back to offer some support.

But y’all, I made it out. And no one pointed and laughed. Woo hoo! I am going to take it slow and not beat myself up if I won’t run regularly. But I will put on my running gear and just go for a walk if nothing else. I did that yesterday and ended up running here and there. Felt good.

On the other side of things, here’s the yummy cinnamon sugar swirled pecan raisin loaf I made. I find baking to be a lot easier to do with an active baby. With the sewing room being upstairs I can’t easily look in on him while he plays. While he plays in the living room, I can pop in and check on him as I bake. It’s nice to be able to create something and the kitchen offers that outlet regularly. Do you have another creative outlet other than sewing?

Thanks for joining me for some coffee, or tea, if you prefer :). See you next week, if not before.

Linking up with Rags to Stitches for coffee date.

  1. Yay!! Good for you! So glad you made it out and hopefully little guy will get used to the jogging stroller. If we were having coffee I’d tell you that I also ran a bit the other day. Just around the block but it felt good. I still have no desire to run another race but I think I’ll try to get out here and there.

And then I’d steal a piece of your bread — yummy!

  2. Ah, that’s so funny! Baby Jane is obsessed with water, too. She chugs it like she’s been wandering in the desert. I try not to bring out the sippy cup until we are almost finished with meals.
And oh my goodness, those big brown eyes! Yeesh, he’s adorable 🙂

  3. Awesome! Of course you got out, we were all cheering you on.

Now regarding that beautiful baked bread, I think you need to share the recipe. Did I mention cooking/baking is another favorite outlet!

Love the wee one photo, great idea!

  5. Oh that bread looks yummy and perfect with a nice cuppa! Good for you in getting out for exercise. Where I live, we are experiencing very low single- digit temps, but I *did* go grocery shopping today- that’s a workout of a different kind… FYI on another blog that I read, the baby did not like the jogging stroller, either, so maybe it is the angle of recline that is not comfortable for them?

Boy always drinks gallons. Button sips like a bird. Kids…! And, oh, he’s such a cutie.
