Merry Bobbins Slipper Making Fun

Last week I was invited by the lovely Becky from Forget Me Not Crafts to join in on some slipper-making fun courtesy of Merry Bobbins.

The class is held in the gorgeous Sutton House, the only Tudor home in East London.

As a lover of history and sewing, can I just say I was in complete BLISS hand sewing my yummy slippers in front of a cozy fire. So surreal! I totally felt like I was in a period drama.

Chloe was a great instructor, providing all materials needed, including beautiful wools and sheepskin fleeces to choose from.

It took me ages to settle on my wool. I’m still dreaming about the others that could have been 🙂

With last week’s gorgeous warm temperatures just a memory now, I am quite glad that I have my slips to keep me warm.

I highly recommend the Sutton House and the slipper-making class. If done together, better. I mean, when else can you sew in a Tudor house?

Thanks again to Becky and Merry Bobbins for the invite!

  1. It was great to sew slippers with you by the fire and catch up on crafty gossip and tips. It really was a blissful afternoon. I’ve spent every evening in my slippers since the workshop – I love them!
See you soon at another workshop hopefully!

I'd love to hear from you
